Win A Gift Box That’s Bigger On The Inside | Geeks In Art

Easter is a time for celebration, family, and eating a tonne of chocolate. Literally; a tonne. Treats and temptations are literally everywhere in the weeks and days leading up to Easter. It would be foolish to walk past that much chocolate without making an investment. Once it gets home, however, most of us need to find spots to stash it away, lest we consume every last piece in one sitting.

Some people use baskets to conceal their treats. Others may prefer to use jars. Here at Geeks In Art, we love using our geek-inspired boxes to hide all sorts of secrets, trinkets, and goodies. Take a look at our four favourite gift boxes and click the pictures to find out how you can bring one home today. Or, if you’re feeling lucky, you can enter our Easter Social Media Contest! Gift Ideas

Everyone has that family member or acquaintance – you know, the one you’re not super keen on but you sort of have warm feelings for anyway. You might not agree with her political views, her opinions about your career and love life, or her commentary on current affairs, but that doesn’t mean finding the perfect gift has to be complicated. To save you a ton of time, and a lot of hassle, we have a few gift ideas. These will keep Aunt Ida happy (or at least quiet), without resulting in family drama or a blown holiday budget. Welcome to Geeks in Art!

Welcome to the launch of Geeks in Art, a place for geeks to gather and celebrate how amazing geek culture can be. Our aim is to create a community of like-minded geeks; a place for us to gather and share how we’ve managed to use geekdom as a guiding light.

My name’s Ashley, and I’ll be the primary author of the blog (though Mimi will be dropping by from time to time). My introduction to geek culture came quite young, in the form of She-Ra, Batman, and Transformers cartoons. It wasn’t until much later in life that I truly embraced my inner geek and let her fly. I’ve found inspiration in stories from across the genre, from comic books to sci-fi shows to films to blockbuster franchises. I’m able to express my passion for geek culture best by writing about it, and encouraging others to find the same hope I found.

The topics will range from inspirational posts, aimed at lifting those who are down, to humorous stories about day-to-day life. You can also find stories about everyone’s horrid Aunt Ida and supportive Uncle Jesse, how-to guides, reviews, and gift suggestions for everyone on your list. Feel free to drop us a line and suggest a topic as well, if there is something you are dying to see covered.

While this blog will be one way in which we celebrate the joy of being a geek, we also have many gift items available for sale. Mimi Moe, co-founder and artist, has designed and crafted a puntastic and geeky gifts for fans across geek culture. We encourage you to check out the store on this site, as well as our Etsy store, to see what we have in stock. Her designs are available on multiple items, and she does accept commissions. Feel free to send her an email to discuss a custom creation for the geek in your life.
